The Basic 1000 is part of LEOGAP's drum roaster technology with an attractive cost-benefit and performance. It has a robust construction, a double-layered roasting drum and an ecological internal furnace powered by gas or diesel oil and a standard afterburner for exhaust air treatment.

PROCESS

The roasting process is divided into stages consisting of preheating and the roasting drum loading, the roasting and flavoring process, and then, the roasted coffee  cooling process. The Basic 1000 has air flow control. It also features with the temperature control for the surplus gases coming from the recirculation system. The roasting process is carried out by the roasting curves that can be previous programmed using the Roasting Profile software.

The Basic roasters show their strengths with roasting times between 08 and 20 minutes. With its dynamic system due to its drying/ roasting drum, it is possible to achieve the desired roasting profile. The Basic 1000 offers these and many other benefits:

CONTROL

The Basic Roasters are equipped with a distributed control system and the roasting curve is programmed using the Profile Roasting software. In this context, high-quality hardware and software guarantee maximum production reliability and safety. Customers can choose from a variety of PLC solutions and visualization concepts according to their individual demands.

  • Roasting profile with parameterization of up to 10 nominal points, allowing the roasting time adjustment, temperature control, air flow and water injection
  • Clear and detailed visualization of the evolution of the roasting curve
  • User-defined recipe management
  • Data relevant memorization to the product and the process
  • Solutions for collecting and storing information in Elipse Scada database, exporting data to excel and printing reports for each roast, such as roasting time, furnace temperature, inlet and outlet weight, among others

ENVIRONMENT AND COST-EFFECTIVENESS

LEOGAP Roasters recirculate the liberated gases in the roasting process and use their thermal energy to create an environment-ecological. For the Basic 1000, the roasting gases recirculation is used to reduce  the energy consumption and the release of harmful substances, attending to the environmental requirements. For the roaster the following configurations are highlighted:

  • Reduced energy and fuel consumption due to heat recirculation
  • Reduction in emission values and adherence to local limits
  • Minimun heat loss due to an excellent isolation system

Safety

  • Anti-condensation system in order to prevent the formation of crust (manual flap to adjust the air flow and temperature conditions) and to reduce maintenance
